Built around disk, not vanity CPU
When the job is holding and serving lots of data, Phoenix gives you space and a real server — without forcing a compute-heavy SKU.
Disk-first plan sizing
Phoenix puts capacity first — from hundreds of gigabytes up to about 1.4 TB of SSD on the top tier — so storage-heavy jobs are not squeezed into a tiny system disk.
A VM you control
This is a full virtual server with root access — install your stack, mount volumes your way, and manage data without an opaque object-storage API as the only option.
Unmetered transfer*
Inbound and outbound traffic are not billed by the gigabyte. Port speed scales with the plan from about 200 Mbit/s to 1 Gbit/s.
Firewall & DDoS mitigation
Network-level DDoS protection and a configurable firewall are included so a storage box is not left exposed by default.
Public IPs & private links
Each instance includes dedicated IPv4 and IPv6. Add addresses or private networking when backup targets and app servers need a clean path.
Quick to stand up
Provision in minutes after purchase — useful when you need a large disk online today, not after a hardware lead time.
Images & cloud-init
Bootstrap with SSH keys and cloud-init, or bring a custom image when your backup or file stack needs a known baseline.
Sized for capacity, not peak IOPS
Phoenix shines when you need lots of SSD and moderate compute — file sync, archives, and backup sinks — rather than ultra-high I/O databases.
Storage pricing at scale
SSD-backed storage plans at the 24-month monthly rate. Billed as a fixed monthly amount, not hourly usage. Switch USD/INR in the header.
Billed as a fixed monthly plan for the term you choose — not hourly usage. Prices in USD.
Where large disks earn their keep
Phoenix is for reading and writing lots of data with moderate I/O — not for ultra-hot transactional databases that need Panther or Titan.
Self-hosted file platforms
A natural home for Nextcloud-style sync and share when you want a VM with a large disk and full control of the data path.
Backups & recovery copies
Park off-site or secondary copies of sites, databases, and media. Capacity is the point — keep retention windows longer without jumping to object storage.
Archives & cold-ish datasets
Hold datasets you still need online and readable, but that do not justify a high-IOPS compute plan.
VM-shaped storage
Prefer a server you can SSH into over a pure object bucket? Phoenix gives you block space inside a normal Linux (or Windows†) instance.
Falcon vs Phoenix
Falcon is the general-purpose default. Phoenix is the capacity-oriented sibling when disk is the scarce resource.
Balanced everyday servers
- ✓Sites, mail, staging, small backends
- ✓CPU and RAM matter as much as disk
- ✓Default pick for most apps
Capacity-first instances
- ✓Backups, file sync, archives
- ✓Large SSD inside a full VM
- ✓When object storage is the wrong shape
Operating systems, panels & blockchain
Choose an OS, control panel, app image, or blockchain node — matching what you can order in the pricing calculator.
† Windows Server licensing and paid control panels (cPanel, Plesk) are optional add-ons. Ask Sales for current pricing.
Phoenix Storage VPS questions
* Traffic is not billed per gigabyte. Incoming transfer is unmetered; outgoing transfer is unlimited under normal use. We may throttle extreme or disruptive patterns so the network stays fair for everyone.
